Special Warfare

Navy Special Warfare (SPECWAR) is not a typical Navy career path. It’s a career path with an incredibly high demand for individuals who can handle tough environments, think on their feet under pressure, and fight when everyone else around you quits.

The Navy SPECWAR community has only two enlisted special warfare careers, Navy SEALs and Special Warfare Combatant Craft Crewmen (SWCC). The two careers are elite physically, require confidence and comfort in waterborne environments, and mission success comes from being able to be a cog in a larger team machine. The missions are different, so daily work and most important skills vary.

If you’re looking for a career with black and white standards, demanding training, and missions where you’re pushed to the absolute edge, these two career paths provide that. SEALs and SWCC find themselves deployed worldwide in complex environments where planning and discipline along with team-focused execution is what produces results. The skill sets you gain from either career path will continue to influence how you lead, train, and execute for years to come.
